BITE is a SQL report builder and generator that can be added to any MySQL database.

BITE required wxWindows, available at http://www.wxWindows.org/

BITE also requires the MySQL client library, available ht http://www.mysql.org/

If you are recompiling/porting the software, you will need both of these tools.

----------------

Installation

	Run BiteSQLReports.exe

Click the Setup button. This will take you into database setup. BITE supports many database connections.

Click the New button. Fill in the connection information for your MySQL database server and database name. The Title field is a descriptive title for that database.

	Click Save.

	Click Ok.

Double Click on your database icon.

This will bring you into the main screen of BITE. You will need to initialize the tables for BITE to store its' information. Click on 'Restore'.

Click on 'Browse', and locate the file name Init_reports.bck included in this distribution. Click the 'Restore' button.

BOLT will ask you to locate the mysql.exe client program. This is included in the "tools" folder if you don't have it installed already.

Once the restore process completes (usually 1 second), you are ready to begin building and running reports.
